Yesterday was one for the books. Paper Tacos®, a Latino-owned greeting card brand, had the honor of joining other incredible vendors at Pixar Animation Studios for a special Mercado celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
The day kicked off with a drive onto the iconic campus. Checking in, badge in hand, I felt like I was stepping into a dream.

Of course, I had to stop and admire some familiar faces—the legendary Pixar desk lamp and ball.

The event took place inside the Steve Jobs Building, a space that buzzed with creativity the moment I walked in. Vendors were setting up, conversations filled the air, and everywhere you looked, Pixar magic surrounded us.

I couldn’t resist capturing some of the characters lining the halls—Buzz Lightyear, The Incredibles, and even Lightning McQueen made an appearance.

This Mercado was organized by VIDA, Pixar’s employee resource group, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. It was an incredible way to celebrate cultura, comunidad, and creativity all in one place.

Being there wasn’t just about selling greeting cards—it was about connection. As people came by, I got to meet creative directors, lighting specialists, and background artists—the very people who bring our favorite movies to life.

Before I became a designer, I once thought I’d pursue animation. Standing there at Pixar, surrounded by the talented minds who make movie magic, was a full-circle moment. It reminded me how creativity takes many forms—and Paper Tacos® is mine.

Huge thank you to Suzana, the designing chica, and Pixar’s VIDA group for making this Mercado possible. The energy, the community, and the celebration of heritage left me inspired and grateful.
Paper Tacos® exists to honor stories like these—rooted in culture, familia, and tradition. And yesterday at Pixar, it felt like those stories were shining brighter than ever.
