Mexican Greeting Cards at El Super! Now in 71 Stores.

If you grew up shopping at El Super, you know.

It wasn’t just groceries. It was where you went before the weekend carne asada. Before a birthday party. Before DĆa de las Madres. Before Sunday family dinner.

And now…

You can grab a culturally inspired greeting card there too.Ā Paper TacosĀ® is officially rolling out into 71 El Super grocery stores across California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas.

But...it started with just one store.

From One Store in Garden Grove… to 71

Back in September 2024, El Super reached out to us. That alone was surreal. The test began August 18, 2025, at a single Garden Grove location. What was supposed to be a short test turned into a five-month trial. There wasn’t a dramatic sell-out moment. There wasn’t a viral spike. There was movement!

Customers picked up the cards. They read them. They smiled. They bought them.

And one day, we got the call: ā€œWe’re moving forward with 71 stores.ā€

What It Felt Like Walking In

I grew up shopping at El Super. My family still shops there. We have one in our hometown of Salinas, California. Walking into that first store and seeing Paper TacosĀ® on the shelf felt full circle. This is where families shop for weekend celebrations. This is where you grab the carne asada, tortillas, pan dulce. Now someone can also grab a birthday card that actually sounds like their family. That’s different.

Why This Matters

Latinos make up over 20% of the U.S. population. But greeting card aisles rarely reflect that. Too often, ā€œHispanic cardsā€ are generic. Or just translated. Or lump all Latin cultures together. When you see something that feels familiar...the humor, the Spanglish, the tone...decision time gets shorter. It resonates faster.

You don’t have to ā€œinterpretā€ it.
You don’t have to explain it.
You just grab it.

This expansion isn’t just growth for Paper TacosĀ®. It’s proof that culturally relevant products belong in everyday retail. Representation isn’t niche, it’s practical.

From the Fields to the Aisle

I grew up in a labor camp in Castroville, California, surrounded by artichoke fields. My dad worked in the fields. My mom worked in a packing company. Now Paper TacosĀ® is in 71 grocery stores where families like mine shop. That’s not just business growth. That’s community growth. And we’re just getting started.
