About Us
Paper Tacos® is a fast-growing greeting card brand making cards con sabor — bold, bilingual, and full of cultura. You might’ve seen us on Shark Tank. Our cards bring humor, heart, and cultural connection to customers through greeting cards, gifts, email marketing, and social content.
This summer, we’re looking for a creative marketing and design intern to help us grow our email marketing, design content, and keep the Paper Tacos® brand looking fresh, fun, and ready for more customers.
Internship Summary
This is a flexible summer internship for someone interested in graphic design, marketing, email campaigns, and creative brand building. You’ll support weekly email production, automated email flows, marketing graphics, and promotional content for Paper Tacos®.
Perfect for someone who loves clean design, clever copy, color palettes, and wants real-world experience inside a small creative business making big moves.
What You’ll Be Doing

Email Marketing + Automated Flows
Help build and design automated email flows, including welcome emails, abandoned cart emails, customer follow-ups, and other campaigns that keep Paper Tacos® connected with customers. -
Weekly Email Production
Assist with creating our weekly marketing emails, from layout and graphics to product features, headlines, and calls-to-action that feel on-brand and make people want to click. -
Marketing Design
Design email graphics, social posts, promotional assets, and templates that help us show off our cards, our cultura, and our personality across different platforms.
You Might Be a Good Fit If
- You’re a college student studying design, marketing, or something creative.
- You have experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.
- Access to Adobe Creative Cloud through school is a plus.
- Access to a laptop for remote work is helpful.
- You love clean design, clever copy, and color palettes.
- You’re organized, chill, and excited to work with a small brand making big moves.
- You can come into our Salinas office once a week for a few hours.
Tools We Use
- Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Google Drive / Google Business Suite
- Mailchimp
- Your personal laptop for remote days
- External monitor and workspace provided for in-office days
- A big whiteboard covered in half-baked ideas and post-its
- Paper Tacos® will provide access to brand assets, templates, platforms, and required work accounts. In-office workspace and monitor provided.
